Thanks to my sister, I can post MY first blog post

I'm Tina's sister, Holly. I live in DC with my fur-baby Patch across from the National Cathedral (the neighbors are pretty quiet :-) ). Almost two years ago now I bought an iPad and started buying apps like crazy. Somewhere along the line I stumbled onto photo editing apps and then digital scrapbooking and became addicted. I had never really read a blog until then, but now I spend a ton of time on the various digital scrapbooking designer blogs. Like Tina, I envy the bloggers their ability to lead such full lives and still have time to blog. I've been thinking I would like to blog, but didn't know if I had enough to say to make it worthwhile, so now I can be a guest contributor and just throw things in every once in a while. It should be an interesting contrast, since my idea of spending time in the outdoors is lunch at an outdoor cafe :-)

OK.....Finally I blog!

So...Here I am! My very first blog entry for the Hartong House and our adventures! Since becoming a Pinterest addict, I have discovered many, many really cool blogs from around the world. I have been envious of those who work, have kids, are married, and have hobbies and still find the time to create these really neat blogs to share with their families....and Pinterest addicts like me!

What will I be blogging about? Well...I am very happily married and I have two very energetic littles ones. Charley, 5 (or 25 depending on your conversation with her) and Kash, 3! I assume I will be mostly blogging about the funny things they do and say, and our adventures as a family trying to find a balance between teaching our kids a love for the great outdoors and the 21st century technology we have all been hearing about! :-)

I have a passion for cooking and being creative, especially making jewelry! I assume I will be adding a bit of that into the mix as well!

I am now able to tell my students that I too keep a journal (right here) as I have been preaching for them to do for so many years!

I hope you find it entertaining, helpful...amusing! I know my mom will! ;-)
